Challenge and Strategy Facing inflated prices for construction products imported from Australia and New Zealand, as well as those imported directly by Chinese businesses in the Cook Islands, our client opted for a more cost-effective approach: procuring directly from China. This strategic decision aimed to bypass foreign imports, leading to significant cost savings. Project Scope Kora Enterprises' first project involved sourcing modular container housing and aluminum scaffolding. By establishing an importing company in Rarotonga, we enabled our client to benefit from profit savings while providing full supply to local businesses and end customers. Operational Setup Since the products landed, our client has set up their office at the Port of Rarotonga.
